Night and day Indianapolis
For comparison, here are two great postcards showing Soldiers' and Sailors' monument, from the same angle. The "day" one is undated and unused. The "night" one was sent in 1944!
The back reads-
located in the heart of the city is one of the finest pieces of colossal sculpture in the United States. Built 1887-1901. It is 284 feet high and is the second tallest monument in the United States, exceeded only by the Washington Monument at Washington, D.C.
