Blue Moon Riverboat

http://www.bluemooncruises.org/

The very kind people at the Chattanooga Visitor Center suggested the Blue Moon River Cruises guys for something to do while we were in town.

We looked at their brochure, prices, what they did, etc. and we thought that a trip down the Tennessee River sounded PERFECT!

So this was an unscheduled, last minute thing we did while in town.

For about $40 a person (there are coupons at the visitor center) you can take a relaxing trip down the river AND this includes a great BBQ lunch buffet.  We figured we would be spending $10-15 each on lunch anyway.  $40 for a nice river cruise AND a BBQ buffet sounded great!

We looked at the Blue Moon boat (I did not get a photo of the boat form the outside- the boats pictured here are other boats we saw).  The boat looked nice.  The weather was iffy, but the Blue Moon had a nice big inside area.
The crew set up the buffet pretty early on.  To be honest, I would have been happy with just about anything.  I wasn't expecting anything fancy but the food was good!

Everything was fresh and of good quality.  The sweet tea was right, and you could tell they had not let things set around or anything.

Captain Mike came around and chatted individually with everyone.  I was excited to hear that he had spent time on boats near the old Executive Inn in Owensboro!

Captain Mike told a lot of great stories relating to the River, and Lookout Mountain.  The PA system on the boat was good too!

We REALLY felt this was a good value for the money, and we enjoyed the ride and the BBQ!
