Rapid City, South Dakota

I really want to take a moment to mention that we REALLY enjoyed Rapid City South Dakota!  We spent a good amount of time here, and had a great time!

If you are going to the Mt. Rushmore area, this is the place to stay.  We explored some of the other places closer to Mt. Rushmore, and we simply liked this place the best.

In fact, I will get some more posts up about the area soon (I want to Mention the Hotel Alex Johnson and the Presidential Statues in separate posts).

This is an attractive city taking pride in its history and what it has to offer.  We talked to some great people and just had a good time.

We got to meet and hear local folk musician Marnie Cook a couple of nights in town which was a real treat (more on her later too).  Rank her among the short list of amazing musicians who should be household names.

Rapid City is overshadowed by some pretty big attractions around it, but it is so cool on its own.
