Huntingburg, Indiana

I mentioned before that we stopped in Huntingburg Indiana on our way to Santa Claus.

Its only a bit less than half an hour from Santa Claus, and it is just a cool little town.

We especially liked the Windowbox Flower and Gift Shop.  Within a block of that shop were several nice antique and other gift shops.

We did pick up a flyer about upcoming events in town.  They are having a Christmas Stroll in early November that looks like a lot of fun!

We loved the shops and the feel in general of this town.  Lots of old well maintained structures and a friendly casual place give this town a pleasant vibe.  Ignore the modern vehicles on the street and you can almost imagine that you are in idealized America 1950.

This would be a nice day trip from several towns in western and central Kentucky.
