Shawneetown Bank- Old Shawneetown, Illinois

Alright Illinois, I have posted several times about how much respect I am developing for you as a state.  I have mentioned that here several times.

HOWEVER, there are some very cool historic sites within your boundaries not open to the public!  Whats up with that!

Check out the Shawneetown Bank, in Old Shawneetown.  Beautiful.  Look at it!  AND, it is in a cool area.

BUT, you can't go inside!  I mean, I am glad they haven't knocked the place down, but it would be nice to get a tour at some point.....

I would love to tour this place, along with the Crenshaw House nearby.
