Clown Act at Cypress Gardens in Florida
I found these postcards recently and had to pick them up. I sort of don't know what to say about them. This blogger is NOT a clown fan.
These postcards are begging for a new life on the cover of a punk album.
Cypress Gardens in near Winter Haven Florida was around from 1936 until 2009. I am curious about how long the clown act lasted.

I am a resident of Winter Haven and a former show announcer. The clown act pictured in the top photo existed in some for well into the 70's and the clown on the bottom was affectionately known as "Corkey" and was around until the parks closing.
Thanks for the cool bit of info Anon. I bet Corkey has some interesting stories! In fact, I think a book about this park would be a very interesting read!
