Pennyroyal Area Museum- Hopkinsville, KY

http://www.hoptown.org/museum

Check out the Pennyroyal Area Museum the next time you are in Hopkinsville.  This is a very well done little museum with a lot of great information.

We spent some time there recently, and I think this is a great area to visit for your Halloween celebrating!

A buddy of mine knows a lot about the area, and he insisted that we travel to see the displays on Edgar Cayce and the 1955 alien attack (more on those later).  The Pennyroyal Museum had great displays on both!

Its a $2 to go through the museum and we thought the price was a bargain.  Even if you aren't familiar with the area or its strange history, you can enjoy a visit her.  The very kind person running the place told us about a lot of cool things in the area, including the Edgar Cayce Seminar in March.

The museum is in the old post office, which is very appropriate and attractive.

I loved the displays on local sports, Cayce, and tobacco the most.

I asked the person running the place about what gets asked about most at the museum.  She said Cayce, the aliens attack, and the Night Riders.

I am going to post a few more pictures from the museum in a separate entry in the next few days....
