Greeneville Tennessee Andrew Johnson sites

Greeneville Tennessee has been at the VERY TOP of my "places to visit" list for a long time!

Andrew Johnson, our 17th President, was from here.  Confederate legend John Hunt Morgan died here.  The capital of the proposed State of Franklin was here.  This is a small town with a TON of history!

We stayed at the General Morgan Inn and were able to walk to all of the main attractions in Greeneville.

Greeneville is the PERFECT small town to visit for a 2-4 day weekend if you want to see some A-list historic sites, with small to no crowds.  Its a great community too!

More on all of that later.....  For now, here are a few pictures of the Andrew Johnson related sites in Greeneville!
