Lloyd sent me a very appreciated note about his experiences on the USS Indianapolis.
"My story is very sad. I was in a life jacket for over 100 hours.
He mentions the torpedoes hitting the ship. "I was in the shell deck of the number two turret when it hit. We were playing poker."
He says that sharks got one in five of his shipmates.
About the ship itself, he says that he saw it stand up straight, and then lunge.
