Bush's Family Cafe- Chestnut Hill, Tennessee
Hey, remember all of that stuff I said about Bush Brother's in my previous entry about their visitor center? Remember how I said the place was really cool and the staff was very friendly? Well, all of that can be applied to their Cafe too.
After we walked through the visitor center and general store, we had lunch at the Bush Brother's Cafe.
AGAIN, we saw Tennessee folks doing their thing and being exceptionally friendly. Dennis, who I think is the assistant manager of the restaurant was chatting with locals about the areas vacation Bible School, and he was talking with tourists about the weather. I am pretty sure he had an ongoing conversation with people at every table in the place.
Two of us ate for around $25, including a pulled pork sandwich, a burger, beans, pie, and some giant ice cream and cherry thing that Dennis talk us in to!
EVERYTHING was good. I had a pinto bean pie, which was compared to a pecan pie. This was nice.... You should go there and try it!
Again, this is a place you have to visit if you like hopping in your car and going somewhere unique.
