The photo on top is from a postcard probably form the 70s. It reads-
The memorial was established as a monument to the mother of the greatest Hoosier that ever lived. Nancy Hanks Lincoln came with the Lincoln family from Kentucky in the year of 1816 and homesteaded 160 acres immediately north of this Memorial Building. She died two years later when Abraham Lincoln was but 9 years of age. Abraham Lincoln referred to his mother by saying, "All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my mother"
The rest of the photos I took on a trip through the National Park in Lincoln Indiana recently.
You can visit Lincoln's mom's burial site.
The area where his family home once stood is marked too! you can actually walk in places where young Abe Lincoln must have walked as a boy.
There is a working pioneer village, and plenty of nice trails for walking!
This is a very nice area close to Santa Claus Indiana.
The Lincoln state park is a very short drive too!

Glad you enjoyed Lincoln's Indiana Boyhood Home. Your photos look great!
Hey! Thanks Melissa! Yes! This is a very nice park with a lot going on! The area around it is great too! I love knowing that you can walk on paths that Abe actually walked on.
