USS Indianapolis survivor Lyle Umenhoffer sent a note about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis.
"I was very glad that I was one of the survivors. I did not see it go down."
I asked him about finding the sunken vessel.
"They tried to find it but could not and I and others are glad."
