Dead Ends: B.C. Crime Stories by Paul Willcocks

I was so excited to find that there ARE some interesting true crime Canadian books out there!  You have to look for them, but they are available!

I found Paul Willcocks' "Dead Ends: B.C. Crime Stories while looking around for any odd books on British Columbia.

Man, this is a very complete book!  It contains nearly 40 short stories (each one gives the basic facts of a notable crime from the Province).  The stories are to the point and are mostly just a few pages.

If you have been to BC, you know its a beautiful place...  and its not the kind of place that you associate with crime.  Still, throughout history, there have been some strange and scary crimes there!

Some I know I have heard about before....  a famous local DJ slowly poisons his wife.

Others I had never heard about.  AND many are just strange.  There are serial killers, racial conflicts, murders over wills....

There are unsolved crimes.  A train bombing in 1924 goes unsolved.

This was a great book to read before visiting the Province!  The author has done a great job of documenting notable crimes in British Columbia!
