This blog covers the overlooked, forgotten, and underrated places, people, and moments in history in America, with a focus on Kentucky! Postcards: Mammoth Cave... again
Two more great Mammoth Cave postcards found at an antique shop recently. Both are unused. The left one reads:
Niagara Falls reproduced in onyx is 50 ft. wide and 75 ft. high. This huge formation on close examination resembles a series of massive, beautifully colored icicles, each one holding its own individuality from top to bottom. It is impossible to get a photograph that does full justice to this frozen display which surpasses by far anything yet discovered in cave formations.
